The problem

One leaked password and your entire vault is exposed.

Every major password manager protects your vault with a master password — a string that can be phished, guessed, or stolen in a data breach. One compromised password means every account you own is at risk.

The fix

Replace the password with your fingerprint.

Triptych encrypts your vault with a key that lives inside your device — your fingerprint reader, your Face ID, or your hardware security key. The encryption key never leaves your hands. There is nothing to phish, nothing to leak, nothing stored on any server.

Why Triptych 03
01

Touch to authenticate

Use what you already have: Touch ID on Mac, Face ID on iPhone, Windows Hello, or a hardware key like YubiKey. One tap and you are in.

02

Encrypted before it leaves your device

Your passwords are encrypted on your device before they reach the server. We store ciphertext. We cannot read your data — even if we wanted to.

03

Nothing useful on our servers

If our servers were breached tomorrow, attackers would find encrypted noise. Without your physical device, your data is worthless to anyone but you.

How it works

Three taps to a safer life

1

Register your device

Create an account and register your fingerprint, Face ID, Windows Hello, or a hardware security key.

2

Tap to unlock

Place your finger on the reader or tap your key. No password to type, no code to enter.

3

Your data stays yours

Everything is encrypted on your device. The server never sees your passwords in plain text.

Questions

Before you decide

What happens if I lose my security key?
Register more than one device — for example, a YubiKey and Touch ID on your phone. If you lose one, the others still open your vault. You can also create an encrypted backup file as a recovery mechanism.
Does it work on my phone?
Yes. Any device with Face ID, Touch ID, or a fingerprint reader supports WebAuthn. That includes iPhones, Android phones, Macs, and Windows PCs.
Can I import my passwords from Bitwarden or 1Password?
Yes. Triptych imports CSV and JSON files from Bitwarden, 1Password, and most other password managers. The import takes seconds.
Is it really free?
Yes. Triptych is free to use with no hidden costs and no subscription. Your passwords, your security — no strings attached.
What if Triptych shuts down?
Your data is yours. Export it anytime as an encrypted backup or plain CSV. Your vault never depends on a single provider — you always have a complete copy of your data.
How is this different from using a password manager with 2FA?
With 2FA, your vault is still encrypted with your master password — the second factor only protects login, not encryption. In Triptych, the hardware device IS the encryption key. No password means no password to steal.

Your vault, your rules.

Free forever. No master password. No data we can read. Just your fingerprint and your passwords.
